Mountains

My in laws have a cabin in Island Park ID. Mack's Inn to be more specific. We could head up there, stopping along the way raiding wherever we can for whatever we can carry. My mom live about halfway there in Rexburg, so we could wait it out there for a while two.
There is an old abandoned ranger tower about 45 min away from the cabin on ATV. I will already have it loaded with ammo and food, and I would have a rain collection system for water. We could hold up there for a while killing the zombies that collect at the bottom and raid the surrounding homes for food and ammo.
The only thing is that we are a long way away from population and stores so we will be heavily relying on what we bring the first time around.

First I would gather my closest friends and grab all our guns and blunt/edged weapons. Next we would gather all the canned goods/MRE's we could in a large truck. As we were doing this my friends would be watching and protecting me while I was getting the food. After we would go to the closest gun shops and gather all we could in another large truck. After we would go get a water truck for fresh water. Last we would go to any place that had large amounts of building supplies (Home Depot, or any place like that). We would then go to a hiking store to get warm clothes, hiking equipment, etc. Then we would head to a cold mountainous region and build a fortified house. We picked a mountainous region due to the fact zombies would have a hard time walking in the cold weather, they would get stiff, move slower, and be easier to avoid. After we built a house and made sure it was fortified, we would go to towns or little villages when we had to, to raid them due to the smaller population. We would gather work-out equipment to keep in shape. The only thing that would be good about this was the fun of shooting zombie bastards in the head, and being with some people I trust to keep sane.
