Before I do a plan to help everyone in general I want to let everyone in on my personal ZP.

I live in South Florida in a medium-populated suburban city called Weston, and I just happen to have friends in all the right places. My best friend Jose is a tournament shotgun champion (ever since he was like 12, I think), and Dan, another friend, has a couple of guns around his house too. My friend Eric is an awesome cook who isn't afraid of busting some zombie heads. Eric's girlfriend Jen knows how to man a boat. All of their plans are to basically follow me wherever I go because I've been obsessed with zombies since like... forever, lol! So, as they head to my place, I'll be calling up my friend Simon, who lives right next to my favorite beach (which just so happens to have a delightful little marina). So, as he's securing a boat (most likely a police boat as they are most likely to have the keys chilling in the boat house, if not already in the boat), whoever's coming with me should arrive in their cars where I should have a very light supply of needs for the ride (a couple weapons and a backpack with some essentials). We'll form a quick convoy and drive the 40 minutes to the marina. It's important to note that this is at the first sign of zombies, NOT until we're swarmed and can't walk the streets, so there should be very minimal traffic and typical apocalyptic car debris on the road.
We get to the marina and Simon's got the boat ready. We ditch our cars and pile on the boat and shove off. After breathing an intense sigh of relief, we make the 2-3 hour trip to the Bahamas.
When we hit land on the Bahamas we immediately make for shelter and gather up supplies. Even if the zombie infection has hit the island, their population is only about 300,000 people with an average of 60 people per square mile!!! Even if half of them are infected by the time we get there (which is very unlikely considering their geographical position and the time frame in which I will carry out this plan) fighting off 30 zombies won't be that hard at all!
So after we gather up supplies and survivors, we'll search out the island for infected and kill them off. After we've successfully disposed of them we'll start new lives on the island growing crops, fishing, going to school (not to mention patrolling the beaches and marinas for more infected and survivors who must be screened for bites) and whatever else we want to do for the rest of our lives until we hear news from the mainland.

Sounds like a pretty solid plan to me, anything I could do better?
