Guns, ammo, food, water, gasoline, on a boat in a large body of water, nuff said.

I am not kidding about zombies, i dont imagine them as something fun to think about to entertain myself, i truly believe they are not only potentially one of the strongest apocolyptic forces imaginable but also very VERY real, they may not be a problem right now, but i have a feeling one day we WILL have an epidemic to deal with concerning the walking dead.

So, in regards to me not thinking of them as fiction, i have done some studying about them, sure, we know very little of what an actual zombie could be like, but if science has taught us anything, it is that diseases are just as unpredictable as people. Now, i dont believe a virus or parasite can take the basic shell of a human and give it extea powers (grow back limbs, grow alien like appendages or have super human powers) the virus will simply take what the original human had as far as senses and abilities and just adapt to different areas. There are theories that the brain will be able to live without oxygen in a zombie and therefor is argued that even if we were on a body of water, the zombie would not drown since the brain acts independtly from the rest of the body, while this is theoretically true, i dont think a zombie will have the coordination skills to swim to the surface and tread water to stay afloat long enough to climb onto a boat.

What would be an awesome strategy would be to lure the zombies to the shore line while you make a quick getaway in your boat to the middle of the body of water and anchor there, take a long distance rifle with a scope and snipe off as many of them as possible from a distance.

The only drawback to this plan is that one day, you WILL have to return to land, hopefully by then the zombie hordes have given up on you and moved on so you can find new shelter and, hopefully, fellow survivors.

This is not my full plan, just a quick one to last the first most intense session of the breakout. I believe in the militaristic outlook on plans, "be flexible with your plans, learn to adapt to new and possibly more challenging situations and think outside the box when your first plan does not work, any plan is better than no plan."
